Win streak hits three as 49ers blank Bears on Senior Day

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women’s tennis wasted little time in its final home match of the 2016 campaign, dispatching Lenoir-Rhyne 7-0 Sunday afternoon at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex. It marked Senior Day for the 49ers, who honored the careers of Tyler Baker and Jessica Pérez prior to the contest in front of another strong showing by Niner Nation.

“I’m extremely proud of the team,” head coach Michaela Gorman said. “We’ve been working really hard on being positive and controlling our emotions and the controllables. I thought we’ve done a fantastic job of that over the past week.
