CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte women's tennis program returns to the courts this weekend with two matches in Norfolk, Virginia, including its first contest with a league foe during the regular season this spring.
The 49ers will open the weekend at 1 p.m. Saturday in neutral-site action against Appalachian State before squaring off against Old Dominion at 10 a.m. Sunday.
Charlotte has started the 2018 campaign with a 2-0 mark after victories last week at UNCG and against Presbyterian. It marks the first time since 2016 in which the Niners have opened with back-to-back triumphs.
