CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Hurricane Michael has made landfall and its path has forced a one-day postponement of the next Charlotte women's soccer match. The 49ers are set to play host to UAB at Transamerica Field this week.
The two teams were slated to play Thursday evening but the contest has now been pushed back one day to Friday with a 4 p.m. start. The Blazers have arrived safely in the Queen City ahead of the storm and will stay in town until they travel to Norfolk, Virginia, for a Sunday matchup with Old Dominion.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early Friday afternoon as it will be Senior Day for the Niners, honoring this year's class of Amelia Clower and Abby Coffey.
