CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Fresh off the Rose Hill Classic tournament title and three players named to the all-tournament team, including MVP libero Yumi Garcia, the Charlotte volleyball team will head to Columbia for a Tuesday night matchup with South Carolina.
Charlotte (5-3) began the weekend with a 3-2 (25-18, 21-25, 26-24, 21-25, 15-9) thrilling victory over Bryant as Sofie Perrens delivered four aces over the final nine plays to propel the 49ers. Reeana Richardson and Molly Shaw each posted 19 kills, a career high for Shaw, with Nya Steele handing out a career high 49 assists to go along with 18 digs.
