CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball returned serve on Monday afternoon topping Marshall 3-1 (25-18, 25-19, 12-25, 25-19) handing the Herd their first loss of the season while earning a split of opening weekend in Conference USA play. The 49ers used a strong attack topping the Herd in most offensive and defensive categories again Monday to grab the win.
"It took a Herculean team effort to pull off a win over a great Marshall team in Huntington," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "I loved the resilience of our team. They remained focused on learning instead and did the small things to make the difference.
