CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers volleyball team will gets its first taste of a weekend tournament away from home traveling to Georgia Southern for the "Bash in the Boro" this weekend. The Niners will open up with Bethune-Cookman on Friday night before taking on North Florida and the host Eagles on Saturday.
Charlotte (3-2) enters the weekend with a road win already under their belts after a 3-1 victory at UNCG on Tuesday night. Tatyana Thomas set a new school-record for blocks in a four-set match posting 11, including nine block assists, which tied a school-record.
