COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Charlotte 49ers found a bit of momentum in the third set Tuesday night, but couldn't muster much else in a 3-1 (13-25, 18-25, 25-23, 10-25) loss at South Carolina. The 49ers see their three-game win streak come to an end and will look to start a new streak starting Thursday at the ECU Invitational.
The opening set was awkward from start to finish for the Niners as the first kill of the night on either side came with Tyra Galloway threw one down to make it 6-5. Both teams traded nothing but errors over the first 10 plays.
