WACO, Texas — Matias Iturbe and Vasco Prata's standout doubles run came to an end on Thursday at the NCAA Doubles Championship in Waco.
The two battled TCU's Pedro Vives and Lui Maxted in the Round of 16 but fell 6-0, 6-3.
The Horned Frogs came out hot with the match's first six points to take a game lead. Charlotte battled back with a pair of points in the second game before falling. Double faults in the fourth and sixth games helped TCU win the first set.
"They came out really fast and that can take the racket out of your hands," coach Kyle Bailey said.
