CHARLOTTE — Tim Brewster knows one speed on a football field, and one way to bond off it. The program he now leads is looking to move with similar urgency.
He showed his form early in fall camp. Tight ends were the lifeblood of last year's offense, accounting for a third of its passing yardage. His experience with all-time greats like Antonio Gates, among others, prepared him for whatever skills each member of the position group had.
The coach has 30-plus years of football experience, including as a collegiate head coach. He'll take the interim tag and run with it, backed by the decades of experience he has facing different hurdles, but his presence won't change despite the new title.
