CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's soccer had two of its players collected tournament most valuable player awards and another pair garner all-tournament accolades after the 49ers earned the 2016 Conference USA Championships title Sunday at Transamerica Field.
Senior Katie O'Neill, an All-Conference USA Second Team choice following the regular season, was recognized as the Conference USA Most Outstanding Offensive Player, while classmate Shelby Hicks, a member of the All-Conference USA Academic First Team with O'Neill and junior Martha Thomas, was tabbed the Conference USA Most Outstanding Defensive Player.
Joining them on the all-tournament team were redshirt sophomore Anna Shelden and freshman Kelley Suggs.
