AUSTIN, Texas – Three members of the nationally-ranked Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team were named to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District III First Team as announced today by the organization. Senior Joe Brito, redshirt senior Patrick Hogan, and junior Preston Popp were named to the team for the first time in their careers.
This season, Brito, Hogan, and Popp played integral roles in helping the 49ers make their 15th trip to the NCAA Tournament while being nationally ranked for most of the season.
COSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT
With Brito, Hogan, and Popp garnering CoSIDA Academic All-District honors for the first time in their careers, Charlotte has had 13 different players in the program's history earn the accolade.
