CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte women's soccer team netted all three of its goals in the second half, including two from Preseason Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year Martha Thomas, but UTEP scored with 19 seconds left to pull out the 4-3 win Friday evening at Transamerica Field.
Thomas led the charge with her seventh career multi-goal scoring contest, and first of the season, to surge into solid sole possession of seventh on the program's all-time goals list with 29. She needs only one more to enter the top five after nearly registering her first career hat trick against the Miners.
