IRVING, Texas – Charlotte women's soccer junior Martha Thomas has been honored as the school's Fall Spirit of Service Award winner, as announced by Conference USA Wednesday. Thomas joins 13 other student-athletes from around the league, one from each school, to be recognized by commissioner Judy MacLeod during the fall sports season including football, soccer, volleyball and cross country.
The award is designed to recognize the community service efforts of the league's student-athletes, based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in their elected sport. It is presented three times throughout the season with winter and spring to follow.
