LONDON -- Former Charlotte women's soccer standout Martha Thomas has been called to the Scotland National Team for the upcoming UEFA Women's Euro Qualifier, taking place in two weeks. She will join head coach Shelley Kerr's team for its match with Albania.
The call-up comes after Thomas trained with the Scottish National Team after a recent international break from her current squad, West Ham United, in England. She has scored in each of her two matches with the pro side.
Scotland is currently second in Group E of the tournament, winners of its only contest thus far; meanwhile, Albania has played three qualifying matches and suffered a loss each time.
