Grace Hunter isn’t your prototypical freshman guard. In fact, if someone didn’t know the Raleigh native was a newcomer to head coach Cara Consuegra’s squad, they wouldn’t be able to tell by watching her play. From Hunter’s fearlessness driving the basket to her tenacity underneath the rim, she plays ahead of her time and possesses promising potential.
Hunter arrived in Charlotte carrying endless amount of high school accolades. She was listed as the No. 16 wing player in the country, given a scouts grade of 90 by ESPN and was nominated for the McDonald’s All-American game. There were few boxes that Hunter left unchecked graduating from Athens Drive High School.
