WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Charlotte track & field team saw several top finishes and personal records on the first day of JDL's Camel City Invitational on Friday.
Freshman Brittany Stanley started the day off with a bang, running a 5:03.97 to place 3rd out of 55 runners while making her collegiate debut in the event. Then sophomores Matt Bomkamp and Tom Nobles placed 12th and 13th with times of 4:17.26 and 4:18.60 respectively - both personal records.
Fellow distance runners Ashleigh Handchen and Erin Nelson impressed running in the 3,000-meter near the end of the day as well.
