KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Host Tennessee scored in each of the first four innings on Tuesday to top Charlotte 8-2 on a rainy night of baseball at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols remain unbeaten at 4-0 early in the year while the Niners fall to 1-3.
"That's a good club," remarked Head Coach Robert Woodard. "Anyone paying attention is seeing really good players commit to this program at Tennessee. That's a good team and are going to have a really good year. We'll be back home for practice tomorrow and get back at it. Once we get our starting rotation firing on all cylinders and the bullpen keeps doing what they're doing, we can start reeling off some wins.
