CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charlotte women's tennis picked up nine wins in 12 matches to begin fall tournament play Friday at the College of Charleston Invitational, including perfect starts by three players.
UNBEATEN DAY ONE
Three 49ers won both of their singles matches, advancing deep into their respective flights. In the A1 singles bracket, junior Rocio Safont moved into the semifinals after handing Coastal Carolina's Somer Dalla-Bona and Wofford's Jenna Vroman defeats.
In the A2 singles flight, two Niners set up a collision course for a potential meeting in the semifinals.
