BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Charlotte women's tennis extended its current win streak to a season-best seven-in-a-row and earned its fourth shutout of the campaign, topping Gardner-Webb 4-0 Monday afternoon.
The seven-straight victories are the longest for the Niners since they won seven-consecutive decisions, March 23-April 8, 2015.
Sparking the triumph was a doubles point win, the sixth time in-a-row it has fallen on the Charlotte (15-6) side despite a slight change in the lineup. The tandem of junior Pierina Imparato and senior Sasha Lee moved into the No. 2 slot and dispatched the Runnin' Bulldogs' Valentine Limauge and Mayumi Saguchi 6-2.
