Spring Football Feature The Charlotte 49ers football team is building a tradition of excitement. Charlotte's practices are littered with celebrations: A gold football is given out to the position group that wins the most one-on-one's, the defense turns turnovers into dunk competitions, the squad adopted a third down mantra and every practice ends with the team coming together. All of these little victories are an effort to create energy throughout the 49er program. "We always say find joy in the journey," co-Defensive Coordinator Marcus West said.
