Head coach Will Healy and defensive coordinator Marcus West have become almost inseparable, being on coaching staffs together in nine of the past 10 seasons. But West's football journey began long before the two met. Growing up in Mississippi, the closest NFL team was over five hours away. He was in the heart of SEC country, however and became infatuated with the college game.
