CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers softball team partnered with Habitat for Humanity to take part in the university's annual Homecoming Build, this week. The experience was part of the project the university does in conjunction with its Homecoming festivities.
WHAT WAS DONE
The team split into two groups and took time out from their fall practice schedule to work over two days. In particular, the team helped construct and erect trusses for the home.
"Putting up trusses requires a lot of communication and talking," Site Supervisor for Habitat for Humanity John Elliot had to say.
