CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Due to impending low temperatures in the area, Charlotte softball has announced a revision to its Charlotte First Pitch Classic Tournament schedule for this weekend, Feb. 13-14.
Each team will now play three games over the two-day tournament. Charlotte will open the tournament with an 11 a.m. first pitch on Saturday against UMass, and then play a double-header Sunday, Feb. 14, with games at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. versus Toledo and Youngstown State.
Should the weather change and permit, the tournament will revert to a four-game per team schedule.
