BLACKSBURG, Va. – After a short turnaround from a successful weekend series, Charlotte Softball falls to No. 11 Virginia Tech, 12-6 in six innings on Tuesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hokies managed to strike first, scoring two in the bottom of the second, including a homer from Bre Peck who tied the Virginia Tech career home run record. After a scoreless frame from both sides, Teagan Ritchie hit a ball to the parking lot to put the Niners on the board and give her her 15th long fly of the season, making the score 2-1 in the top of the fourth.
