CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Despite falling 4-0 Sunday, Charlotte softball (26-18, 7-8 C-USA) picked up its second straight Conference USA series win after trumping defending league regular season and tournament champions WKU in both Saturday’s contests.
"We came up short in a lot of ways; we had a tough time adjusting to the offspeed pitch," head coach Aimee DeVos said. "We're a little bit of a young team, and we've got to release when the sweep is in your hands, you've got to go after it."
We've played two great opponents in our last two conference series, those teams [Marshall, WKU] have been at the top of the conference the last two years, so that feels good and it needs to carry over.
