DAVIDSON, N.C. – Charlotte poured in a Cara Consuegra-era record 99 points, led by six players in double figures, including three with at least 20, to defeat cross-county rival Davidson 99-88 Sunday afternoon inside Belk Arena. Several milestones fell along the way with the 49ers, who enter the winter holiday break winners of five of their last six.
LEADERS
Six double-digit scorers were led by junior Ciara Gregory’s 23 points. She hit five 3-pointers among her eight field goals, while adding 2-of-3 at the foul line. It was her first miss at the charity stripe this year, snapping a streak of 27-in-a-row to begin the campaign as the national leader.
