JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Shona Nakano made her mark at the UNF Fall Invite.
The redshirt sophomore earned a bye in her flight's quarterfinal before reeling off a pair of wins in the semifinal and an altered final on Sunday. She and Prisca Abbas were set to meet in the Flight D final after each won through the bracket, but the pair instead faced different competitors on Sunday. Nakano raced past South Florida's Dharani Niroshan in the additional match, 6-4, 6-1.
"I think we had a great tournament," Nakano said.
