CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball cranked out an 18-hit attack, led by four apiece from Zach Jarrett and Logan Sherer, rolling to a 14-5 victory over UNC Asheville on Tuesday night. The 49ers set new season highs with the 14 runs and 18 hits.
"Tonight was a good effort," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "We practiced when we got back from East Carolina on Sunday and guys came out ready to play today."
UNC Asheville (7-8) scored their three runs in the top of the first using a three-run homer by Brandon Lankford before the Niners began their offensive onslaught.
