DALLAS – Charlotte 49ers redshirt senior guard Jordan Shepherd and sophomore guard Jahmir Young were both named to the preseason All-Conference USA men's basketball team in a vote by the league's 14 head coaches. The 49ers were picked sixth in the preseason league poll.
SHEPHERD'S IMMEDIATE IMPACT
After sitting out the 2018-19 season as a transfer from Oklahoma, Shepherd made an immediate impact for the 49ers in his first season in a Niners uniform. He ranked 12th in Conference USA in scoring, averaging a team-leading 14 points per game.
