TEMPE, Ariz. – Seven of nine members of the Charlotte women's tennis team were honored as ITA Scholar Athletes, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Tuesday. It tied for the second most in a single season in program history, trailing only the eight in 2013. Overall, the 49ers have had 70 players recognized in school history dating back to 2002.
This year's recipients include Gabriela Gonzalez, Pierina Imparato, Alexandra Lee, Tai Martin, Zoe Radojicic, Emma Scott and Megan Smith. All seven players are due to return to the courts this season for first-year head coach Anthony Davison.
