Seniors Step Up as 49ers End Regular Season with Win

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's basketball built a 17-point halftime lead, saw it close to one in the fourth quarter, then stretched it back to double figures on a 10-0 run to stave off Southern Miss 59-46 Thursday night on Senior Night inside Halton Arena. The win was No. 13 on the 49ers' home floor this season, setting a single-season record during the eight-year tenure of head coach Cara Consuegra.

Whether it was Ka'Neeshia Brown early, with the team's first four points, or Laia Raventós late, with five points in the final-period surge, both seniors played significant roles in their final appearance in front of Niner Nation.
