Season-High in Hits Powers Charlotte to Win in Kannapolis

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Playing in its yearly game in Kannapolis at Atrium Health Ballpark, Charlotte Baseball used 16 hits to score nine runs in a 9-4 victory over Gardner-Webb on Tuesday evening (April 8).

The 16 hits are the most Charlotte (19-13) has had in a game all season, just barely edging out the old benchmark of 15 from the trip to No. 4 Arkansas at the end of February. The win over Gardner-Webb (14-19) also marked Charlotte's 30th all-time game in Kannapolis, a series stretching back to 1996 in a 12-4 victory over South Carolina at Fieldcrest-Cannon Stadium.
