BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Nick Scudder broke his second school indoor record this season after winning the gold in the 5000m with a personal record time of 13:47.51, a time that broke the school and meet record and currently ranks 15th in the country at the Conference USA Indoor Championships on Saturday.
After totaling 14 PR's and having 18 athletes qualify for the finals in their events, the men's and women's teams both lead after day one with 60 and 50 points, respectively.

The 49ers put up major points (29 total) in the 5000m event where Scudder set his second school indoor record this year after he ran a personal record time of 13:47.
