CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte (7-8) utilized a seven-run sixth inning to regain the lead and take over for a 15-9 win over the College of Charleston (8-9) on Sunday at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium. Charlotte scored a season-high 15 runs on 10 hits for its fifth home victory of the season, closing out the 2019 Green and White Invitational.
Entering the bottom of the sixth inning, Charlotte trailed Charleston 9-8, but Katie Manring delivered the go-ahead two-run double to take the 11-8 lead. The 49ers scored seven runs in the inning and sent 12 batters to the plate.
