CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers (11-5) finished a three-game sweep over the Furman Paladins (2-8) after run-ruling the Paladins in six innings thanks to late-game heroics from junior Imani Rochelle and a three-RBI home run from junior Bailey Vannoy on Sunday afternoon at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium.
Seven 49ers collected a hit as Vannoy and Kourtney Gremillion each tallied a multi-hit game. Vannoy went 2-for-4 with a double, home run and three RBIs, while Gremillion was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Freshman Ashleigh Washington joined Vannoy and Rochelle with a multi-RBI game after hitting an RBI-double and walking with the bases loaded.
