Executive Associate Athletics Director Kim Whitestone, who announced her retirement in the spring, is finishing up her valuable run after 30 years with the 49ers athletic program. She will begin a new role overseeing championships, events and membership at the National Junior College Athletic Association in September.
In her tenure with the 49ers, Whitestone has worn many hats and been involved in virtually every aspect of the 49ers athletic department. She got her start in marketing and compliance. She has thrived in administration, overseen sports and championships and keyed the 49ers focus on student-athlete wellness.
