COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The Charlotte 49ers broke a pair of school records – one that was nearly 10 years old and another that lasted less than a month – and won three event titles at the USC Open, Saturday. Charlotte also had competitors at the Virginia Challenge, Saturday.
Junior Aveon Reid (Gastonia, N.C. / Forestview) broke the record in the 400H with a time of 51.23, snapping Cordell Livington's mark of 51.31 that stood for nine years. Reid placed fourth in the event. Livingston set the record in 2012.
