VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – Powered by Conor Purcell's runner-up finish after a six-under tournament of 204, the Charlotte 49ers men's golf team concluded the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate in 7th overall topping Michigan, Florida State, South Alabama, Mississippi State and UTSA.
"I thought it was another week that we did some really good things on a pretty difficult golf course," began Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. "We didn't take advantage of some of the easier holes on the course early in the tournament but did a much better job of that today. We had some decent team rounds but just couldn't quite get over the hump with a great team round to get ourselves in contention to win.
