CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball turned a two-run deficit into a two-run lead in the fifth inning eventually scoring a 5-2 victory over High Point on Tuesday night. A four-run fifth followed by an insurance tally in the ninth gave Charlotte five unanswered runs in their fourth victory in five chances.
"We didn't play great," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "But, we did what we needed to do and our pitching really picked us up again tonight. The latest projections have High Point in the NCAA tournament winning the Big South. It was a good effort by our pitching staff.
