An honors graduate. A team captain. A student-athlete. All of these things, and more, describe Pierina Imparato, a member of the Charlotte women's tennis program. Imparato, a senior from Weston, Florida, like the rest of her 49ers teammates, had her spring season cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic in mid-March.
"My emotions were all over the place," she said of the news. "I heard about the postponement of the season during practice and it was definitely tough. I was so pumped to finish out the season with the team that we had built. In my four years at Charlotte, this was the strongest our team has ever been so knowing that the season was canceled was extremely hard to process.
