BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Charlotte women's basketball had two of its players selected to the All-Christmas City Classic Team, including the event's most valuable player, after the conclusion of play Sunday inside Stabler Arena on the Lehigh campus.
Redshirt junior Jade Phillips was voted the tournament MVP, while sophomore Octavia Jett-Wilson joined her on the all-tournament team. It marked the first in-season tournament honors for both players.
Phillips keyed the 49ers' title-clinching win Sunday against the host Mountain Hawks with her first career double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds, as the Niners pulled out the 62-60 victory.
