CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Senior thrower Taylor Parcells threw her way into the Charlotte all-time top-10 with her efforts in the women's javelin, at the Virginia Grand Prix from Lannigan Field on Friday afternoon. Several others captured top-five finishes overall.
WOMEN'S PERFORMANCES-
Parcells, a senior from Old Tappan, N.J., threw the 10th-best distance in the women's javelin on Friday with a mark of 36.66m (120' 3"). The distance is close to the next-farthest record of 36.73m, set by Jana Eatman in 2013.
In the women's long jump, Carlecia Spivey recorded a fourth-place finish with a distance of 5.
