Charlotte, N.C. – For his performance in the Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team's two shutout victories last week, redshirt junior goalkeeper Elliot Panicco was named Conference USA Co-Defensive Player of the Week. This marks the second time this season that Panicco has earned C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honors.
This marks the fourth time this season that the 49ers have claimed league defensive player of the week honors as Panicco claimed his first player of the week award (October 1) and senior defender Callum Montgomery has earned the honor twice as well (August 27 and September 17).
