CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's tennis will look to extend the momentum from its Tuesday win into a pair of matches this weekend as it gets set to face two Carolina Region programs. The 49ers will play host to USC Upstate at 2 p.m. Friday at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex before traveling to Clinton, South Carolina, for a 10 a.m. Saturday first serve against Presbyterian.
Charlotte enters the weekend split after earning its first win of the campaign Tuesday, a 5-2 decision at Gardner-Webb, to move to 1-2 this spring. The Niners started the match by clinching the doubles point for the second-straight time before adding four singles victories to close out the victory.
