Boone, NC – Behind four players in double-figures led by Braxton Ogbueze’s 25 points, the Charlotte 49ers (2-8) defeated the Appalachian State Mountaineers (2-8), 82-66, on the road.
“We had a week to practice hard,” Charlotte coach Mark Price said. “We had hard practices to say the least which changed our tone and effort. I thought the first half we played 20 minutes of hard intense basketball. Every guy that stepped on the court played with energy. We had a lull to start the second half which allowed them back into the game.
