RALEIGH, N.C. – Charlotte baseball erased a 5-0 deficit and had the go-ahead run at the plate in the top of the eighth inning, but saw the rally fizzle out in a 7-3 loss to #13 N.C. State on Tuesday night.
“We got it to 5-3 in the eighth and had the winning run come to the plate and just had some poor at-bats when we needed to have better at-bats,” began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “State’s got a good team and there is a reason their ranked in the top-20. We played ok, but have to play much better this weekend against FAU.
