CHARLOTTE — Charlotte Women's Tennis edged out a 4-2 win over visiting Brown on Wednesday at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex to complete the program's season sweep of four Ivy League opponents.
Fresh off an American Athletic Conference Player of the Week nod, Ni Xi clinched the nerve-racking finish 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 from the No. 1 singles slot to move the 49ers to 15-3 with wins in nine of their last 10 matches. The standout freshman moved her record to 11-2 in singles, split between the top two slots of Charlotte's lineup.
Charlotte began the match with identical, winning doubles scores across the board over the Bears.
