BOCA RATON, Fla. -- It is hard to win on the road in collegiate men's soccer, and Florida Atlantic's win over Charlotte Saturday (Nov. 2) night was further proof of that. In the regular season finale, the host Owls (7-5-3, 3-3-1) shocked the 49ers with a 6-1 win in American Athletic Conference play.
The Niners (8-5-2, 3-2-2 AAC) suffered just their second defeat of the season. With its third-place finish in the conference, Charlotte will host six-seed Temple at Transamerica Field on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the 2024 American Athletic Conference Championship.
