CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers (18-9, C-USA: 7-1) completed the four-game series sweep of the Florida Atlantic Owls (15-13, C-USA: 4-4) with an 11-10 win in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Hayes Stadium behind another strong offensive attack and timely bullpen pitching.
OFFENSIVE FIREPOWER
The Niners' offense picked up right where they left off the last three games as the Niners put together an offensive clinic, scoring 11 runs on ten hits. Florida Atlantic scored two runs in the first inning. Charlotte's offense got started in the third when following a Jake Cunningham double; Todd Elwood stepped up and drove in the first run on a single to centerfield.
