CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The late-season surge for the Charlotte women's basketball team continued Thursday night, as the 49ers reached double-figure home wins and overcame a slow start to knock off Conference USA-leader (--/RV) Old Dominion 63-59 inside Halton Arena on a snowy Queen City night. The victory was the Niners' seventh in their last eight games in the last month as they have worked their way into conference tournament bye discussion.

Charlotte's win is its second-straight over a visiting team which held at least a share of the top spot in the conference standings.
